But beyond the basic colors, there are limited editions that pay homage to its most beloved franchises, from the colorful world of Pokémon to the frenetic battles of Splatoon, making each console unique.
Special Editions of the Nintendo Switch OLED
The OLED model arrived to improve the visual experience, and of course, its first themed variants soon appeared. The first of these was the Splatoon 3 version , released on August 26, 2022. This console was priced at €359,99 and was sold on the Nintendo Store under a limited purchase system to prevent speculation, although today it is virtually impossible to find.
This bundle not only included the console but also came with matching accessories , such as a Pro Controller and a protective case, all in keeping with the game's vibrant aesthetic. Shortly after, on November 4, 2022, we saw the arrival of the Pokémon Scarlet and Purple edition , also priced at €359,99. This version is notable for its artwork of the legendary Pokémon and the starter Pokémon from the Paldea region.
If we prefer something more understated, we always have the standard OLED models . The classic white and the neon blue/neon red combination are the base options, launched on October 8, 2021, at a cost of €349,99.
Themed Editions of the Original Nintendo Switch
The original hybrid console has accumulated the most variety of designs. One of the most memorable is the Splatoon 2 version , which, unlike the OLED version, came with the game pre-installed and a matching case.
In the realm of pocket monsters, we had the Pokémon Let's Go edition , available from November 16, 2018, where Pikachu and Eevee starred on the dock and Joy-Con controllers. As for the basic models, the original Switch offers the gray and neon versions for around €299,99.
The World of the Nintendo Switch Lite
Although the Lite version is simpler, it has also had its moments of glory. The most striking is undoubtedly the Pokémon Sword and Shield version , released on November 8, 2019, with blue and magenta colors and the legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta on the back.
We also saw the release of the Pokémon Diamond & Shining Pearl edition in November 2021, featuring a black design and the legendary Pokémon Palkia and Dialga. Additionally, an ultra-limited version of Jack Jeanne was released in Japan , with only 100 units available.
For those looking for something more standard, the Lite offers a wide range of colors: blue, coral, yellow, turquoise and gray , all available for €219,99 depending on the launch date of each color between 2019 and 2021.
